Created by Steve Minor, Modified on Tue, 7 Oct at 2:29 AM by Steve Minor

1. Open your PowerPoint presentation.

2. Go to the Home tab in the ribbon menu.

3. In the Editing section, click on the Select drop-down arrow.

4. Click on Selection Pane.

Once you have the Selection Pane open, you will see a list of all the objects on your

slide. The Selection Pane allows you to manage the order of objects on your slide,

rename them for easy identification, and easily select them even if they are layered on

top of each other. Here are some of the key functions of the Selection Pane:

1. Identifying and selecting media: The Selection Pane makes it easy to select

specific objects on a slide, even if they are hidden behind other objects. You can

simply click on the object's name in the Selection Pane to select it.

2. Re-naming media: You can rename objects in the Selection Pane, which can make

it easier to manage and identify them later on. To rename an object, simply click

on its name in the Selection Pane and type in a new name.

3. Managing layers: The Selection Pane allows you to easily manage the layer order

of objects on your slide. You can click and drag objects to change their position

in the layer order, or use the up and down arrows in the Selection Pane to move

them up or down in the order.

4. Hiding and showing objects: You can use the eye icon next to each object in the

Selection Pane to hide or show it on the slide. This can be useful for temporarily

hiding objects while you work on other parts of the slide.

Overall, the Selection Pane is a powerful tool for managing the objects on your

PowerPoint slides. It can help you work more efficiently and make it easier to organize

and edit your presentation.
