General Drag and Drop

Drag and Drop: You can drag and drop images, sound files, video files, and other media

directly from your desktop or file explorer into PowerPoint. Simply click on the file, drag

it into the slide where you want it, and drop it.

Drag Objects within PowerPoint

Move Objects: You can drag shapes, images, or text boxes around the slide to reposition

them.

Move Slides: In the Slide Sorter view, you can click and drag to rearrange slides in your

presentation.

Drag for Alignment

Auto-alignment Guides: When dragging objects, PowerPoint will show alignment

guides (dashed lines) to help you position your objects neatly on the slide.

Drag to Copy

Copy Objects: Hold Ctrl while dragging an object to copy it, instead of moving it. This

is a quick way to duplicate objects.
