HOW TO ANIMATE TEXT ONE LETTER OR WORD AT A TIME

Created by Steve Minor, Modified on Sat, 4 Oct at 8:51 PM by Steve Minor

Steps

1. Select your text box.

2. Go to Animations tab → Choose an effect (e.g., Appear, Zoom, Fade).

3. Click Effect Options.

4. In the dialog box:

o Choose By Letter or By Word.

o Set a delay (try 0.1s for letters, 0.3s for words).

5. Press F5 (Slide Show) to preview timing in real motion.

Beginner Tip:

Start with short words or phrases. Long paragraphs get painfully slow if every letter has a

delay.
