Format Shape Pane

Fill Options

• Solid Fill: Select "Solid fill" → Choose color → Adjust transparency slider. 

• Gradient Fill: Choose "Gradient fill" → Add/adjust gradient stops → Set color, type, 

direction, and angle. 

• Picture or Texture Fill: Choose "Picture or texture fill" → Insert image or select texture 

→ Adjust transparency, offset, and tile settings. 

• Pattern Fill: Choose "Pattern fill" → Pick pattern style and foreground/background 

colors. 

• No Fill: Select "No fill" to make the shape fully transparent. 

Line (Outline) Options 

• No Line: Hide the outline completely. 

• Solid Line: Enable solid line → Set color, transparency, width, compound type, and dash 

style. 

• Gradient Line: Apply gradient to outline → Use gradient stops and color options. 

• Cap & Join Types: Customize ends and corners (flat, round, square, bevel, miter, etc.). 

• Arrow Settings: Choose arrow types, sizes, and endings for lines. 

Effects

• Shadow: Apply preset shadows or customize with angle, distance, blur, and 

transparency. 

• Reflection: Adjust reflection presets, size, blur, and transparency. 

• Glow: Add glow → Set color, size, and transparency. 

• Soft Edges: Apply and adjust blur amount for softer outlines. 

• Bevel: Choose a 3D bevel preset or set custom width and height. 

• 3D Rotation: Apply perspective or rotation angles for a 3D look. 

• Material & Lighting: Choose surface material and light direction/type (for 3D effects). 

Size & Properties

• Position: Set X and Y position for precise placement on the slide. 

• Size: Define width, height, rotation angle → Lock aspect ratio if needed. 

• Alt Text: Add Title and Description for accessibility. 

• Lock Anchor/Aspect Ratio: Keep proportions or prevent movement/resizing. 

• Snap to Grid: Control alignment with the slide grid (via Ribbon > View > Guides).
